About this release
Aphroasia Technubian collects six early Daniel Wang productions for his Balihu label, connecting house rhythms with samples and the musical vocabulary of underground disco. Unhouse, The Twirl and Loose Vibes occupy the first side, followed by E. Village Hustle, Not Feeling It and In The Street on the reverse. The EP reflects Wang’s interest in the tone, space and rhythmic detail of earlier dance records, shaping those references into his own arrangements. This remastered repress brings the complete six-track programme back to vinyl, with three selections on each side.
