About this release
UK producer Dexter brings Tangent Boy to vinyl for the first time on Endell Street, pairing it with a remastered version of Funk Warped. The title track works through dub weight, swinging percussion and crisp drums, reflecting the stripped approach of London's earlier tech-house scene. Funk Warped takes the reverse with a punchier groove and shifting synth details, keeping the rhythm direct while leaving space around the arrangement. The two recordings connect Dexter's earlier work with the label's focus on functional, restrained house production.
