About this release
Diogo Strausz pairs a newly recorded version of ‘Canto Das Três Raças’ with his own ‘Caramba’ on this Razor-N-Tape Reserve EP. Kai Alcé reshapes the first track in his NDATL Vocal Mix, bringing a soulful deep house approach to Strausz’s cover. On the reverse, ‘Caramba’ combines arpeggiated synthesiser lines with a playful vocal, before Lex Wolf’s Technobloco Mix raises the tempo and works looping, filtered synths into a driving club arrangement. With an extended original and a remix on each side, the four-track 12-inch connects Strausz’s Brazilian musical influences with different approaches to house and electronic dance music.
