Disco Combine 002 - Que Tal America (Dave Lee mixes)

Dave Lee revisits Two Man Sound’s Que Tal America with four versions for Disco Combine. His extended mix adds breakdowns, live percussion and additional vocals while keeping the original disco groove at its centre. The Xtra Special Dub introduces more echo and gives the instrumental playing greater space. An acappella and a bonus-beats version complete the twelve-inch, offering two further ways into the track’s voices and rhythm. First released in 1978, the song’s combination of Brazilian musical influences and disco production forms the starting point for Lee’s treatment. The four mixes bring that material into a set arranged for club play.
