DJ Bone - The Portal EP

DJ Bone’s The Portal EP is a four-track solo release on his Further label, following the long-running Subject Detroit catalogue. My Replicant Self opens with sharp synth figures and sombre chords over a streamlined rhythm, while The Divine Call brings a spoken-word element into the mix. On the flip, My Tribe builds through layered percussion and warmer synths before Remembering The Future closes with quick-moving drums and a more urgent pulse. The EP keeps Bone’s focus on rhythm and movement while giving each side a distinct progression, from the opening track’s measured tension to the closing cut’s direct drive.
