About this release
Gerardo Frisina’s In Sight Vol. 1 opens a project conceived as two separate volumes, blending Latin jazz, funk and soul with modern electronic production. The seven-track LP keeps much of its focus on the club, while ‘O Soñho’ offers a slower, cinematic bossa nova contrast. Singles ‘Mindoro’ and ‘Desejar’ sit alongside ‘Tarab’, ‘Coherente’ and ‘Some Soul’, before an instrumental version of ‘Samba Skindim’ closes the record. Recorded at Blue Spirit Recording Studio in late 2024, the album features Giovanni Guerretti’s piano and Fender Rhodes, with trumpet, bass and percussion contributing to Frisina’s detailed arrangements.
