About this release
Gratts reunites with Robert Owens on Today, following their earlier collaboration Brighter Future. Owens' vocal and layered backing parts sit over a deep house arrangement with a 1990s feel. The twelve-inch opens with the Main Mix and its outro, followed by the Heide Aca Version. Mark Hand supplies a slower, soulful rework on the reverse. Two Gratts instrumentals complete the record: Mount Olympus, built from drum machines, arpeggiated synthesisers and analogue bass, and its Bang The Box Bonus Beats. Released on Be Strong Be Free, the five-track selection keeps the vocal, remix and rhythm tools together.
