About this release
Haruomi Hosono brings his patient, playful approach to songcraft to Yours Sincerely, his first collection of new music in more than seven years. The Yellow Magic Orchestra and Happy End co-founder moves between tender psych-folk, offbeat pop and delicate electronic arrangements, considering compassion and maternal love across ten tracks. Note Of Mothership uses group singing, while To A Wild Rose and Figlio Perduto bring female voices into the record's changing textures. On Sincerely, Hosono strums and sings around the question of how to express those feelings in English. This is the standard Ghostly International vinyl LP.
