About this release
Herbie Hancock's Stars In Your Eyes and Saturday Night appear together in their Special Disco Remix versions. Gavin Christopher's vocal leads Stars In Your Eyes through an extended disco arrangement, while Saturday Night gives room to a percussion break featuring Sheila E. The mixes differ from the original album versions, expanding the material for a twelve-inch format. This Columbia reissue gives each track a full side, keeping the two long versions together. It connects Hancock's jazz-funk instrumentation with the vocal and rhythm-led production of this part of his catalogue.
