About this release
Timeless is Hu Vibrational’s fifth album, led by composer and percussionist Adam Rudolph. Across nine pieces, Rudolph combines acoustic instruments with keyboards and electronic processing, drawing rhythm and texture from thumb pianos, flutes, reeds, drums and percussion. Guests include guitarist Eivind Aarset, drummer Hamid Drake, tabla player Sameer Gupta and sampling artist Jan Bang. Their contributions extend Rudolph’s layered arrangements without losing the focus on pulse and space. Produced by Rudolph with assistance from Mas Yamagata and Carlos Niño, the album appears on Meta Records in a gatefold sleeve featuring artwork by Nancy Jackson.
