About this release
Hysteric brings four contrasting disco cuts to the Discolifting series on Funkyjaws Music. Italo Mystery Theme opens with vocals, guitar and stepping drums, drawing on the melodic feel of eighties dance music. After Dark takes a lighter route, its airy singing and handclaps giving the groove a looser shape. On the reverse, Sugar Daddy Again brings analogue bass and sharper drum programming forward, before All Right closes with a street-soul influence and bright chords. The EP moves between Italo, boogie and disco without losing the vocal character that runs through its arrangements.
