About this release
Yoofee / Graze brings two compositions by Melbourne keyboardist and producer AKEY, originally released under the Jake Amy name, to Wicked Wax. The music combines jazz-funk energy with hip-hop breakbeats, electronic textures and darker drum-and-bass influences. Yoofee pays tribute to Berlin’s Moses Yoofee Trio, pairing keyboard lines with intricate drums, bass and flute. The session features Erica Tucceri on flute, Jordan Pereira on drums and Stephen Lane on bass, with Amy composing, producing and recording the music. Nick Herrera mixed and mastered the release, which presents both tracks on 7-inch vinyl with artwork by Gabriella Brown.
