About this release
Here To Stay brings a recording from Jalen Ngonda's Come Around And Love Me sessions to this Daptone seven-inch. The A-side is a melodic soul ballad, with Ngonda's expressive vocal at its centre. If You Don't Want My Love, taken from the album, completes the reverse. Both songs draw on the soul sound associated with Motown in the late 1960s and early 1970s, pairing a session recording with one of the album's vocal-led cuts.
