About this release
James Blake's self-titled debut combines soulful singing and piano with the space, bass and rhythmic experimentation of his early electronic productions. Released in 2011, it includes his interpretation of Feist's Limit To Your Love and The Wilhelm Scream, alongside I Never Learnt To Share and the two-part Lindisfarne. Processed vocals and sparse arrangements allow silences to shape the music as much as the beats, moving between intimate songwriting and more abstract passages. This Atlas double LP contains the full thirteen-track vinyl programme, including Tep And The Logic, Measurements and You Know Your Youth.
