James Heather - Invisible Forces

James Heather's second album, Invisible Forces, channels electronic, ambient, orchestral and post-rock influences through solo piano. Recorded, mixed and produced at his home studio on a refurbished Bösendorfer 200 grand piano, the eleven pieces explore connections between personal experience, memory and the natural world.

Heather developed the music through improvisation, memorising and refining each movement before recording it in a single take. Working without a metronome or written score, he allows the pulse and dynamics to follow the performance. Released by Ahead Of Our Time, the album runs from Meant To Be to Immortal Beloved, with this AHED034 edition pressed on violet vinyl.
