About this release
Jewel Kid makes his Rekids debut with Explicit Behaviour, bringing a hardware-led approach to the Maltese producer’s house sound. The title track builds through swirling synthesizers, sirens and filtered vocals before opening into chunky drums and piano stabs. In The Dance draws on early Chicago house through repeated vocal hooks, tense synth lines and analogue grooves. The Tribute closes with rolling drums, sweeping filters and fuzzy electronic textures that gradually build pressure. Developed using Moog instruments and an Elektron Octatrack, the record places rhythm, sampling and evolving synth patterns at the centre of its three arrangements.
