About this release
Bar A Thym returns to King Street Sounds in a three-version 12-inch package. Kerri Chandler’s full-length original leads the A-side, with its 7:24 arrangement giving the groove room to build. The reverse pairs the Foremost Poets Vocal Edit with THEMBA’s Extended Remix, bringing two different treatments alongside Chandler’s production. THEMBA adds swing and extra percussion, drawing on an Afro-house approach while reshaping the track’s rises and drops. The selection connects the original’s deep-house character with later interpretations, placing all three versions together on this KSSV002 edition.
