About this release
Star Eaters Delight expands Lael Neale’s collaboration with producer and accompanist Guy Blakeslee. Written after her return from Los Angeles to her family’s Virginia farm in 2020, her second Sub Pop album turns the quiet of rural life into an outward-looking collection of minimalist pop songs. Spare arrangements leave room for Neale’s clear voice, while the Omnichord’s drum machine helps drive Faster Than The Medicine and In Verona unfolds as a gospel-tinged centrepiece. Across eight tracks, the record considers solitude, connection and the tension between country and city life. This listing is for the gold vinyl edition.
