About this release
Louie Vega revisits Last Night a DJ Saved My Life with Anané and Tony Touch, extending the remake first heard on his NYC Disco album. Vega’s remix gives the song a more driving house arrangement, while Anané’s Dub offers a second interpretation of the vocal collaboration. The reverse turns to In Search of Peace of Mind with Funki Cadets, paired with Vega’s Peace Dub. Together, the four cuts connect his disco background with the rhythmic emphasis of his house productions, placing two songs alongside alternate treatments. This Nervous twelve-inch gathers the vocal-led material and its dub counterparts in one vinyl sequence.
