About this release
Matt Covington’s ‘I’m So In Love With You’ pairs romantic vocals with the smooth arrangements of early-1980s soul. Originally released in 1983, the song returns on this April Records seven-inch with ‘Muhammad Ali’ on the reverse. Drawn from Covington’s self-titled album, the B-side pays tribute to the boxer through a more rhythmically direct blend of soul and funk. The pairing offers two contrasting settings for Covington’s voice: the title song’s measured, melodic delivery and the punchier feel of ‘Muhammad Ali’. Both recordings are presented together as a two-track single.
