About this release
Maurice Moore's Everything That Shines Ain't Gold returns through Melodies International with its original two-part recording joined into one continuous side. Hammond bass, guitar and Moore's vocal sit at the centre of a full-band soul arrangement, with a groove that moves easily towards the dancefloor. Floating Points takes the reverse, extending the instrumental passages before bringing the vocal into focus. Originally released in 1977, the song reflects Moore's background as a self-taught multi-instrumentalist from Chicago. This licensed twelve-inch reissue pairs the combined original with the edit and includes the label's 16-page Melozine.
Format: 12" vinyl with 16-page Melozine
Label: Melodies International
