About this release
Artwork reshapes Mildlife's Zwango Zop into an extended disco workout on this one-sided twelve-inch. The original comes from Phase, the Melbourne quartet's debut album, where jazz, funk and disco meet through synthesizers, bass and improvisation. Artwork focuses that material into a hypnotic dancefloor edit, building on the band's groove across more than ten minutes. MLD02 carries the single edit on side A. The record was launched in 2020 as a bushfire relief release, with proceeds intended for Wildlife Victoria and the Australian Red Cross through Prime Direct Distribution, bringing the band, producer and participating record shops together around the appeal.
