About this release
Te Quero Perto puts Millos Kaiser’s production alongside three reinterpretations of the same song. The club mix combines an uptempo machine beat with piano hooks, acid bass and Juju Bonjour’s Brazilian pop vocal, drawing on the sound of mid-1980s dance records. Paco Cabana adds a percussion-heavy version, while Lipelis and Orion Agassi take the track towards Latin freestyle with vocal and dub mixes. The arrangements move between the original’s direct house rhythm and the remixers’ different approaches to its melody and voice. Planet Trip’s twelve-inch carries four mixes across two sides.
