About this release
Forevernevermore is Moodymann's second full-length album on Peacefrog Records, originally released in 2000. Kenny Dixon Jr. draws on earlier KDJ recordings, combining samples, live instrumentation and repeating grooves in a set rooted in Detroit house, soul and jazz. 'Meanwhile Back At Home', 'Wednesday Night People' and 'The Set Up' introduce the album's shifting moods, with 'Your Sweet Lovin' and 'The Thief That Stole My Sad Days' extending its vocal side. This Peacefrog 35th-anniversary edition presents the nine-track vinyl programme across two smokey-coloured records, housed in a gatefold sleeve with an obi strip.
