About this release
Moodymann's Silence In The Secret Garden moves between deep house, soul, funk and darker electronic passages. Originally released by Peacefrog in 2003, Kenny Dixon Jr.'s album opens with 'Entrance 2 The Garden', 'People' and 'Backagainforthefirsttime?' before moving into 'LiveInLA 1998' and 'Shine'. The contrast between the minimal title track and 'Yesterdays Party' gives the record much of its range, while 'On My Way Home' leads into the closing 'Sweet Yesterday'. This Peacefrog 35th-anniversary edition presents all ten tracks across two smokey-coloured vinyl records, with an obi strip marking the label's anniversary.
