Mr K Edits - Let The Sunshine In

Danny Krivit brings his Mr K editing approach to Fatty Fatty Phonographics with two extended reworks. Let The Sunshine In stretches its gospel-inflected vocal and propulsive disco arrangement towards a jubilant sequence of breakdowns, leaving the singing at the centre of the record’s momentum. On the reverse, 1,2,3 revisits a clavinet-led funk recording from Walter Gibbons’ acetate collection. Previously edited by Krivit for a seven-inch release, it receives a longer treatment here, giving its percussion and groove more space to unfold. The pairing connects two different source recordings through Krivit’s attention to the shape and flow of a dancefloor arrangement.
