About this release
Nautilus reinterprets Christian Bruhn’s Captain Future theme with vocals by Anna Sato, pairing its arrangement with a remix by Berlin producer Delfonic. Drummer Toshiyuki Sasaki arranges the original, joined by Mariko Nakabayashi on keyboards and Shigeki Umezawa on bass. The trio brings its jazz-funk approach to the television theme, with Sato’s singing providing a distinctive vocal presence. Delfonic’s reverse-side treatment introduces heavier club rhythms, with additional keys and synthesiser from Lewis Moody. The Oonops Drops 7-inch presents the original and standard remix together, connecting Nautilus’ band performance with a different dancefloor interpretation.
