About this release
Nuha Ruby Ra pairs 'My Voice' with 'Eggshells' for a double A-side on Zen F.C., the label founded by Yard Act’s James Smith and Ryan Needham. The connection followed her guest appearances on the band’s May 2022 UK tour, leading to this entry in the label’s 7-inch series. Ruby Ra describes the two songs as connected by a nocturnal, unsettled emotional space, making the pairing feel like a small world of its own. The release brings her experimental post-punk work into a catalogue that also includes early records by Yard Act, Baba Ali and Benefits.
