About this release
Peven Everett teams up with Inkswel on Stronger, a vocal collaboration that moves between boogie, broken beat and house across four versions. Inkswel’s Boogie Mix sets Everett’s performance against heavy gated drums, springy bass and airy pads. Leonard Charles joins the producer for the Bruk Mix, shifting the rhythmic emphasis towards a more syncopated broken-beat feel. DJ Spinna takes the song into his Galactic Soul Remix, while Ed Temple supplies the final rework. With Everett writing and performing the song, the record keeps a soulful vocal at its centre as each producer changes the surrounding rhythmic framework.
