Plastikman & Chilly Gonzales - Consumed In Key

Consumed In Key reimagines Plastikman’s 1998 album as a collaboration between Richie Hawtin and Chilly Gonzales. Gonzales’ piano is woven into the spacious architecture of the original, creating a patient meeting point between minimal techno, ambient electronics and acoustic performance. After discovering Consumed around its twentieth anniversary, Gonzales proposed piano counterparts for its tracks, with Tiga helping bring the two artists together. Hawtin then mixed the combined recordings, leaving each composer space within the process. Released by Turbo Recordings, this triple LP presents ten pieces across six sides, following the original album’s sequence in its new form.
