About this release
Purple Disco Machine and Sophie and the Giants return to In The Dark through four versions on this Sweat It Out! twelve-inch. The collaboration follows Hypnotized, bringing the group's pop vocal character into Purple Disco Machine's disco and house setting. Ron Basejam supplies both the Extended Remix and Dub Mix on the first side, giving his treatment of the song two forms. Oliver Heldens' Extended Remix and Aeroplane's remix share the reverse. The four-track selection keeps the vocal collaboration at its centre while opening the production to three remixers, with extended, dub and alternative arrangements across the record.
