About this release
Andrea Gemolotto and Claudio Zennaro’s Q Base project revisits its 1991 Atmospheres material on Dance Floor Corporation. Three original tracks trace a melodic, dubby approach to Italian deep house: the Deep Mix of ‘Il Sole’, the Underground Mix of ‘Il Vento’ and the Tribal Mix of ‘La Pioggia’. The reverse also includes Idjut Boys’ 1999 Version Idjut of ‘La Pioggia’, connecting the original EP’s spacious sound with a later interpretation. This four-track 12-inch brings the original selections and that additional version together, giving the reissue a programme that spans two periods in the record’s history.
