About this release
Retromigration follows his WOLF Music album Straight Foxin with Cloudin, a six-track EP that combines sampled textures and original compositions. The title track's funk-led bassline opens the A-side, with Only Well moving towards broken rhythms and synth leads before Just Take It. Everybody Knows begins the reverse with jazz-tinged keys and a beatdown house feel, followed by They Hatin and You Win. Across the record, the German producer develops his deep house approach through contrasting rhythmic patterns and melodic details. This WOLF Music twelve-inch contains the complete six-track programme, arranged as three cuts on each side.
