About this release
Romain FX brings a Cantonese vocal to Charlie's 1983 'Spacer Woman', with Kaona singing lyrics by Cheung Yuen Tung. The cover preserves the original's sequenced bassline and spacious electronic textures while setting them against a crisp electro rhythm. The vocal version leads the record, followed by a karaoke version that puts the backing arrangement in focus. On the reverse, the Acid Trip version stretches the idea further with TB-303 lines and an extended instrumental approach. Produced by Romain Faipoux, with mastering and lacquer cutting by Manmade Mastering, this Mr. Disc Organization twelve-inch presents three distinct versions of the same interpretation.
