About this release
KON reworks two Saucy Lady recordings into the paired mashups ‘Soul Bright’ and ‘Watchin’’. On the A-side, Madonna’s ‘Lucky Star’ vocals meet the instrumentation of ‘Soul Amplified’, taken from Saucy Lady’s ‘Delirious’ EP. The reverse combines Rockwell vocals with ‘The Garden’, whose keyboards and harmonies were shaped by producer Yuki ‘U-KEY’ Kanesaka. Both versions keep the disco, funk and boogie setting of Saucy Lady’s music at their centre while bringing familiar vocal material into new arrangements. Dippin’ Records presents the two KON reworks on a single 7-inch, one on each side.
