About this release
Sean Khan explores John Coltrane's influence through his own history in British jazz and broken beat on Supreme Love: A Journey Through Coltrane. Presented in three parts, the album connects interpretations of Coltrane's music with Khan's original compositions and remixes by Kaidi Tatham.
Heidi Vogel contributes vocals, with guitarist Jim Mullen and saxophonist Peter King among the musicians involved. A Love Supreme, Naima, Giant Steps and Equinox sit alongside Starchild and Azawala, tracing connections between jazz traditions and contemporary production. This BBE triple LP contains the full seventeen-track programme, including both Kaidi Tatham remixes and the alternate take of Equinox.
