About this release
Shred is Skee Mask’s debut album for Ilian Tape, originally released in 2016. Its twelve tracks connect breakbeat rhythms and techno with ambient space, moving through a range of tempos and textures across four sides. The record establishes the producer’s interest in both detailed rhythm programming and atmospheric electronic music, with drum and bass among its reference points. From Everest through to South Mathematikz, the album gives that combination room to develop beyond a single club track. This double-vinyl edition presents the complete album sequence.
