About this release
Space Ghost returns to Peace World Records with Back From Reality, an album moving between ambient textures, downtempo rhythms and house. Written over five years, it draws on the atmosphere of late-1990s and early-2000s electronic music and video-game soundtracks.
Across 11 tracks, the Oakland producer explores escapism and the search for calm through music. Sugar Cube and the title track evoke late-night drives, while VGM and System Reset imagine the sound worlds of game menus and console startup screens.
