About this release
Tapes revisits his 2019 recording ‘Summer Jam’ on a 10-inch edition backed with a live acid version featuring 7FO. The original combines a lilting rhythm, major-key melodies and drifting background textures, with a warm chord progression at the centre of its electronic arrangement. The reverse offers a different performance of the tune, with 7FO’s guitar contributing to the live session’s more acid-focused setting. EM Records presents the pairing with revised artwork, bringing the solo recording and collaborative version together on one 45rpm record. Both versions retain the melody-led character that gives ‘Summer Jam’ its buoyant feel.
