About this release
The Fantastic Aleems pair their production with Leroy Burgess’ vocal and John Morales’ mixing on Get Down Friday Night. The recording places the Aleem twins’ music within the early-1980s New York boogie scene, combining their instrumental work with Burgess’ established approach to dance-oriented singing. NIA’s twelve-inch reissue brings the vocal version together with the Special Re-Mix, giving each its own side. First released in 1982, the track continued to circulate in underground club selections before this return to vinyl. This edition is pressed on coke-bottle green vinyl with the green-label presentation specified for the release.
Format: 12" coke-bottle green vinyl
