About this release
Total Blue is the Los Angeles trio of Nicky Benedek, Alex Talan and Anthony Calonico. Their self-titled debut on Music From Memory brings a decade of collaboration into a shared palette of digital synthesizers, Akai EVI wind synthesizer, fretless bass and guitar. Across eight vinyl tracks, the group balances detailed electronic textures with the touch of live instruments, moving through ambient spaces and jazz fusion colours. The music grew from open-ended play and experimentation, with the players allowing chance to shape its direction. Michael Willis provides the artwork and design for this single-LP edition.
