About this release
Tubby Isiah's Roots For Your Soul brings the Bristol father-and-son duo's spacious electronic dub to Wood White Sessions, the Sushitech offshoot devoted to laid-back, atmospheric music. Their second full-length combines new recordings with previously unreleased archive sessions, held together by warm bass, drifting vocal fragments and generous layers of echo. “Soul Catcher” and “Astral Traveler” open the album, before “Low Rise” appears in original and version form. The same approach returns with the closing pair of “Long Time” cuts, giving the eight-track record a patient, immersive flow. This is the standard black vinyl edition, mastered at Wood White Studios.
