About this release
Forager Records' tenth release brings together eleven songs spanning 1970s psychedelic folk, soul and 1980s synth pop. Lonely Man's Dream includes two previously unreleased recordings: Cocktails & Dreams' Norwegian synth-pop song Never Say Goodbye and Keith Jones' drum-machine-backed demo True Love. The selection moves between intimate vocals, understated arrangements and a shared sense of longing, connecting artists whose music developed across different genres and decades. Matthew Bruce compiled, produced and art directed the collection, with restoration and remastering by Sam Hirschfelder and artwork by Eric Thompson. The vinyl programme includes every one of the eleven selections.
