About this release
Nu Groove Edits Vol. 5 pairs four recordings from the New York label's catalogue with contemporary producers. Daniel Steinberg opens the 12-inch with his treatment of N.Y. House'n Authority's Fort Green House, before Dirty Channels revisit Underground Kids' Get Up. Dennis Quin works on House Of Peace's Such A Feeling, while Honey Dijon and Luke Solomon reshape The Barnyard Orchestra's Tasmanian Blues (C'mon Women). The set connects the original artists with different approaches to editing their grooves, giving each collaboration its own place within the sequence. Issued as NG140, the record presents two complete edits on each side.
