Waves of Distortion traces shoegaze from its early-1990s foundations to the bands carrying its sound into the 2020s. Two-Piers brings together Ride's Vapour Trail, Chapterhouse's Pearl and Lush's Sweetness and Light with later recordings by bdrmm, Horsegirl and DIIV. Slowdive's Slomo opens a selection that also reaches into dream pop and post-rock through Beach House and Mogwai. The international spread takes in Australia's Lowtide and Flyying Colours alongside Sweden's Echo Ladies. Across twenty-two tracks, the double LP connects the original scene's melodic noise with the different directions it inspired.
