About this release
Wendy Carlos' soundtrack to Disney's 1982 film Tron brings electronic composition into conversation with a full orchestral score. Synthesised textures, sweeping themes and sharply drawn cues give the film's computer world a musical identity of its own, moving between tension, wonder and the warmth of Love Theme.
Alongside Carlos' score, Journey contribute Only Solutions and 1990's Theme. Analogue Moog and digital GDS synthesis sit alongside pieces performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This vinyl LP gathers eighteen tracks, including Theme From Tron, Light Sailer and Ending Titles.
