About this release
Young & Company's I Like (What You're Doing To Me) combines funk guitar, lead vocals and layered harmonies in a 1980 disco recording for Brunswick. This twelve-inch reissue pairs the vocal with its instrumental, letting the band's rhythm arrangement stand on its own on the reverse.
Presented in a Brunswick sleeve, the record preserves the original vocal-and-instrumental pairing. The two versions make it a useful selection for listeners drawn to the point where band-led funk and disco meet.
