About this release
Present Tense reflects Yumi Zouma's collaborative songwriting process across New York, London and New Zealand, gathering different moments from the band members' lives into a carefully curated whole.
The album pushes their dream-pop sound into bolder arrangements, balancing bright momentum, classic guitar-pop touches and a defiant emotional undercurrent.
Drummer Olivia Campion's studio performances feature throughout, with additional pedal steel, piano, woodwinds and strings broadening the arrangements. The ten-song sequence includes Mona Lisa, In The Eyes Of Our Love and Astral Projection. This Polyvinyl edition is pressed on transparent vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve.
