About this release
Zenana's Witches brings the British trio's voices together with drum-machine rhythms, a synthesizer bassline and layers of keyboards. The song first appeared on a PRM 7-inch in 1986, after singer-songwriter Anita Tedder developed the group's recordings with her brother Mike at his home studio in Cornwall. Rush Hour's reissue pairs the remastered original with Witches '85 (Bedmo Disco's Spell Of Love), an extended treatment by Matt Anniss and Gareth Morgan. Working from the original eight-track home recording, the duo draw out its atmosphere and percussion. This RHRSS37 12-inch presents one version on each side.
