Two masterful tracks taken from SOPHIE’s album Product, reissued on Numbers. A-side ‘L.O.V.E.’ is one of her more abstract productions, circling a youthful mantra repeating the title, chopped and interspersed with impactful chants and detuned slabs of bass and synth. ‘Just Like We Never Said Goodbye’ is a contemporary anthem, futuristically packaged - led by a saccharine pop vocal which sounds like it was informed by both happy hardcore and mainstream pop productions. It’s underpinned by a massive, double-pronged bass and synth combo, playing an irresistibly infectious melody alongside.
